Baylor won the NCAA men’s basketball championship for the first time in the school’s history. It was an amazing defeat for the Baylor Bears, who were playing the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs. They didn’t win by just a few points, either, but at the end of the game, the score read 86 points for the Bears to just 70 for the Bulldogs.
Baylor had defeated Houston to get to the championship game, and that was a big win for the Bears, as well. They beat Houston 78 to 59. Everyone thought that the championship game with Baylor up against the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs would be filled with a lot of drama and twists and turns, but it didn’t turn out that way. The Baylor Bears proved themselves to be an overall good team and after starting the game with a 9 to nothing lead, they continued to lead for the rest of the game and finished with the impressive 16-point victory.
