The NBA All-Star Weekend 2021 happened a bit differently than in previous years. Instead of being two nights of fun, the NBA decided to pack everything into one night. The events were held in Atlanta, with the main event being the all-star game. The captains in the game were LeBron James and Kevin Durant, and the winners in the game were team LeBron.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was the winner of the MVP award for his perfect performance for team LeBron, making all sixteen of the shots that he took. The game wasn’t a close one, but the team won with a twenty-point lead. During half-time, there were some activities, such as the dunking contest. Some of the other typical contests for the all-star weekend were cut a bit short or had fewer participants than usual, but there were still well over one hundred NBA players at the events that took place on March 7th, 2021.
The Events and results of the weekend were as follows:
Winner of the 2021 All Star Game was Team LeBron by 170 over Team Durant 150.
Winner of the 2021 Slam Dunk Contest was AnFernee Simons.
Winner of the 2021 Three-Point Contest was Stephen Curry.
Winner of the 2021 Skill Challenge was Domantas Sabonis.
