This past Thursday night the Bears lost to the Packers 10 – 3 in what both sides agree to was a display of sloppily played Football. The Bears defense only allowed 1 touchdown but that was also the only touchdown that was scored in the game. When asked how he played Bears Quarterback Mitch Trubisky said,”Not that good not that good, left a lot of plays out there. As an offense, we just couldn’t find a rhythm. Struggled on 3rd down, that was apparent. We gotta be better on first and second down to stay in manageable situations on 3rd down. We were uncharacteristic of who we usually are as an offense”. Trubisky threw 26 of 45 for 228 yards. Aaron Rodgers threw 18 of 30 for 203 yards.
Since 2003 the Thursday night season start is usually a home game with the defending champs. This year began it’s 100th season with the NFL’s oldest rivalry. A low scoring season-opening game wasn’t something the NFL was hoping for. But, it was the most watched season opener since 2016 with over 22 million viewers.
