The 2021 Daytona 500 race took place on Daytona International Speedway on Sunday 14th. The final lap of the race was a fiery crash. The leaders and other competitors engaged in fierce competition. By the time the smoke was clearing, the competition had recorded one of its biggest unexpected winners in the history of the race. The 36-year-old veteran, Michael McDowell, took the lead to win.
Dowell was running forth on his Ford during the final lap when everything flew apart ahead when one of his teammates, Brad Keselowski, and the leader, Joey Logano, wrecked violently.
The 63rd 2021 Daytona 500 race happened in an unprecedented manner. A short moment after beginning, it was stopped because of the heavy downpours, crashes, and lightning. More than 30000 fans had attended the grandstands to witness the Sunday event.
Surprisingly, this was the largest event to gather such a huge crowd from the outbreak of COVID 19 in the country.
