The 35th Dubai Desert Classic took place towards the end of January 2023. It is the first such event sponsored by Hero MotoCorp, an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer with a multinational presence. Rory McIlroy was the one who walked away with the win, having beaten runner-up Patrick Reed by a single stroke. Thanks to that, he earned more than $1.5 million from the purse. Moreover, he has cemented his position as the number one male golf player in the world.
As such, it seems safe to say that McIlroy will be in a very strong position when he competes at Augusta in April of 2023. Many people are eager to see how McIlroy will perform for the simple reason that he has yet to claim victory at a Masters Tournament. He has won the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and the Open Championship. McIlroy just needs to win the Masters Tournament to complete the set.
