Even amid COVID-19, the UN General Assembly is busy at work doing all that they can to make the world a better place in all of their member nations around the world. They have several pressing issues that they must contend with, including the following:
How Do We Perform Our Work in the First Place?
Of course, like any other organization, the United Nations has to contend with utilizing some novel means to perform their work in the first place. Preventing the spread of COVID-19 is a daunting task, and they have developed safeguards in place to slow the pandemic in their facilities. Additionally, training all of their humanitarians worldwide and providing logistics for all member countries is something that is of chief concern as well.
If the pandemic was the only thing that the United Nations had to tackle on their 75th meeting, it would be much easier for them. However, they also have to contend with continued challenges such as racism, inequality, poverty, climate change, intolerance, armed conflict, and world hunger. The individuals who are heavily involved in the U.N. and who are passionate about the causes that they champion are going to come together in this 75th session and brainstorm some solutions for these ills and also chart a course for a much better future.
