The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine was held from February 26 through March 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, giving teams their most detailed in-person evaluation of draft prospects before April’s NFL Draft. Over four days of workouts, interviews and measurements, several players distinguished themselves with rare athletic testing numbers that immediately influenced draft projections.

Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green was one of the event’s most talked-about performers. He covered the 40 yards in 4.37 seconds, a remarkable time for a player at his position. His explosiveness was just as notable: a 43.5-inch vertical leap and an 11-foot-2 broad jump placed him among the most dynamic quarterbacks tested at the combine in the modern tracking era. The workout reinforced his reputation as one of the class’s most intriguing dual-threat prospects.

The running back group featured impressive straight-line speed. Arkansas’ Mike Washington Jr. turned in a 4.33-second 40-yard dash, the quickest time among backs, while also registering a 39-inch vertical and a 10-foot-8 broad jump. Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love followed closely with a 4.36-second sprint, confirming the position group’s overall speed profile.

At wide receiver, pure acceleration stole the spotlight. Mississippi State’s Brenen Thompson posted a 4.26-second 40-yard dash, the fastest mark recorded at this year’s combine. LSU’s Zavion Thomas was not far behind, crossing the line in 4.28 seconds. The pair highlighted the vertical speed available in the 2026 receiver class.

In the secondary, Ohio State’s Lorenzo Styles Jr. delivered one of the standout times of the week, clocking 4.27 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Missouri cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. led his position group with a 4.32-second run, showcasing the overall athletic depth among defensive backs.

Linebacker Sonny Styles, also from Ohio State, produced one of the most explosive all-around testing profiles. He ran 4.46 in the 40-yard dash and paired it with a 43.5-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot-2 broad jump — rare numbers for a player at his size and position.

Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq added another headline performance. His 4.39-second 40-yard dash was an exceptional result for a tight end, and he complemented it with a 43.5-inch vertical and an 11-foot-1 broad jump, underlining his combination of size and burst.

With Indianapolis complete, attention now shifts to campus pro days, medical follow-ups and final front-office evaluations. The 2026 NFL Draft will take place April 23–25 in Pittsburgh, where the impressions formed during combine week will heavily factor into final decisions.
