He was supported by the energetic and dedicated performance of Jalen Wilson, who added 15 points. Christian Braun and Ochai Agbaji contributed 12 points, while Remy Martin topped off the performance with 14 points from the bench.
This kind of teamwork is why the Kansas Jayhawks managed to be where they are, and the point deficit they had at halftime was not a deterrent to them. This is their fourth national championship in the history of this program and another win that marks their magnificent performance. Ochai Agbaji made the ending even more memorable thanks to his hard work managing the pressure and enabling the Jayhawks to make a historic comeback.
The deficit resulted from the Tar Heels switching defenders, which meant that the Jayhawks were mainly caught off-guard in the first half, which led to the massive gap they had to perform extra hard to catch up and gain a lead over the team from North Carolina.
