Held at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, the 72nd NBA All-Star Game was electric. Team Giannis, captained by Giannis Antetokounmpo, defeated team LeBron, captained by LeBron James, in a high-scoring shoot-out 184-175. Jayson Tatum went home with the Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP award after scoring 55 points, an NBA All-Star Game record!
This year’s NBA All-Star Game marked a new way of selecting players. The captains, LeBron and Giannis, participated in a live pregame draft. The two teams were outstanding throughout the game, and it was hardly a defensive standoff. On the contrary, the two teams displayed elite offenses entertaining the fans. The game was LeBron’s first loss as a captain and Giannis’ first win as a captain.
