The Annual Conservative Political Action Conference seems to have a focus on one candidate for president in 2024. Many of the attendees arrived at the conference wearing red MAGA hats, with their alliance clearly held toward one candidate. The speakers for the event included four of former President Donald Trump’s family members, and some of the notable names not included were a few people who are set to be running against him next year.
Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, and Trump’s former running mate and Vice President, Mike Pence, were not in attendance at this year’s conference. All of the attention seems to be focused on Trump and helping him get started with his third presidential run. Not everyone agrees with that, though, and the conference proves that there is some division in the Republican Party as they try to figure out who will be the best candidate to potentially send to the White House in 2024.
