Congratulations to Tampa Bay Lightning for winning the 2020 Stanley Cup. This season’s final was the last game after the NHL decided to continue with the season with all teams playing in abubble due to the COVID19 pandemic. All the players in the Stanley Cup games had to have daily tests, and were not allowed to see relatives until the semi-final stage, or whenever their team was knocked out.
Tampa Bay Lightning clinched the Stanley Cup on Monday(9/28/20) evening by defeating the Dallas by 2 goals to nil. This victory was the second time that the Lightning had won the Stanley Cup. For the players, coaches and other staff victory was good, but being able to go home probably felt just as good. They won four of the six games in the final to defeat the Dallas Stars. Hand in hand with the team’s success, their defenseman, Victor Hedman was named as the most valuable player.
