Rombauer surprised many when Rombauer came out this past weekend and won the 146th Preakness Stakes that took place on Saturday.

The 146th Preakness Stakes is a highly anticipated racing event that took place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore just recently on May 15th and Rombauer came to surprise many by taking the lead to the finish line and securing the win for the event.

Rombauer was trained by Michael McCarthy and this horse was also ridden by jockey Flavien Prat. Rombauer had put on a very strong finish in the 146th Preakness Stakes race where the horse had managed to pass Midnight Bourbon and also Medina Spirit as well, to take the win which came as a surprise to many who had them as favorites in mind.

Rombauer is the final horse that came and won the Preakness Stakes and this happens to be the first Preakness Stakes victory that comes for the trainer of the horse as well. The win might have been quite of a surprise because it was Bourbon who had been more of a favorite but who had finished second overall and then there was Medina Spirit who was another favorite but had come in third at the end of the race.

Because of the pandemic we saw there there were limitations on social gathering and not many people were allowed as usual, though there were still about 10,000 that came to the show. They had to wear masks and social distance, though the mask could be removed when eating or drinking which we have seen in other social circumstances as well. This isn’t the final leg of the Triple Crown just yet there is more that is coming and that is going to be next up on June 5, Belmont Park with the final leg of The Triple Crown.
