It seems that even the most hesitant politicians have succumbed to the buckling pressure that Coronavirus is putting on the globe. Trump was out and about this past weekend wearing his first mask in public.

Pictures of the President show him in a navy blue mask with the gold presidential seal emblazoned logo on the side.

He donned the mask for the occasion of visiting the Walter Reed military hospital. Of course with hospitals, it is considerate to put on a mask because of the vulnerable patients in the facility.

The reason that this moment is significant is because President Trump has expressed anti-mask sentiments in previous talks. He even went so far as to make fun of rival Joe Biden for wearing one.

He stated on Saturday though that he thought it was the considerate thing to do when interacting with soldiers, some just off the operating table. President Trump said, “I think when you’re in a hospital, especially in that particular setting, where you’re talking to a lot of soldiers and people that, in some cases, just got off the operating tables, I think it’s a great thing to wear a mask. I’ve never been against masks, but I do believe they have a time and a place”.
