Nascar racing returned yesterday after a 2-month delay due to Coronavirus concerns.
The NASCAR race at Darlington was an exciting one. Kevin Harvick came in first place, Alex Bowman came in second place, and Kurt Busch came in third.
Jimmie Johnson had taken the lead during the 81st lap but was eliminated after he had a nasty crash during Stage 1’s final lap. Ricky S. was also eliminated from today’s race as he hit another driver as everyone raced through turn 2 and then skidded into the inside barrier.
Many people were upset about a new rule regarding no fans in the stands, but most believe it’s for the benefit of everyone. NASCAR doesn’t want this pandemic to spread any further and took precautionary measures by not allowing fans to be in the stands.
Overall the race was quite exciting, and many people enjoyed seeing NASCAR come back.
The next race is this coming Wednesday, May 20th at 7:30 pm at Darlington.
